Remove Data Entry
The quickest path to picking is to remove data entry of orders completely. Infoware creates orders as emailed from pdf or entered via our E-commerce portal and provides the order passes credit checks you are ready to pick.
The challenge for most businesses is not all their customers are the same. Some are happy to enter orders via your ecommerce portal. Others will email you a PDF order. This is where Infoware’s option to create an order from the PDF document automatically comes into play.If your customer has a formal EDI gateway then Infoware can potentially be configured to accept orders directly as well.
A common challenge is managing the picking of orders. Regardless of whether you pick by paper, scan or tablet, all current and prior unpicked orders are presented in the run planner. These appear in delivery runs. You can move orders if required between runs.
You determine which orders are either discreetly or wave picked. As orders pass through the logistics process, they change colour between picking commenced; picking completed; manifested and delivered. Subtle efficiencies such as single click manifest generation which generates a manifest summary and invoice copies in drop sequence for drivers, and optionally email invoices directly to customers.
Micro Manage Your Profit
First and foremost – if you are not making an acceptable profit you will not remain in business in the long term. Infoware includes a daily gross profit report as a daily KPI to show sales, accurate margins (including supplier funded rebates), number of invoices; cartons moved; DIFOTS etc.
However, this can hide some sins of invoice lines not achieving required margins – despite all the controls you have. With Infoware you can deep dive into all the day’s transactions; sort by GP% and manage by exception any invoice lines that are not achieving the required margin. You action NOW for margins on future sales. e.g. stock received at increased costs but contract sell prices not increased; product discounted too heavily.
Forecasting and Predictive Purchasing
A core design of infoware is purchasing and stock reporting is ‘weeks of stock on hand’. Purchase orders can be generated to maintain stock levels based on weeks of stock on hand for moving lines plus include any special one off ‘indent’ lines. Sales history and future forecasts are combined to generate purchase orders.
Also purchase orders generated on replenishment/ kanban usage or static min/max are also supported.
Automated Credit Control
Ability to configure and enforce credit control individually by the debtor. Send warnings/and overdue statements to customers who exceed their trading terms. Advise and put on stop credit automatically when exceed their internal credit terms.
Trading and credit terms can be the same, Credit limits are also supported. Take off credit stop when pay and send thanks for paying email. Once again single click to activate.
Orders for customers on stop credit are quarantined on run planner for full visibility until the credit issue is resolved.
Reduce Picking Errors
