2019 marked 20 years since Nadine Edwards, one of Infoware Services programmers, joined the company.
In 1999, after acquiring a bachelor degree, Nadine finished her studies and began her career at Infoware Services. Little did she know that she would make Infoware Services her home for the next 20 years.
During her time so far within the company, she has witnessed the company focus on service but adapt the way they conduct business in order to keep up with trends and issues. Some of the changes Nadine remembered being a part of were the Y2K bug (Year 2000 bug or Millennium Bug) and the introduction of GST. Both milestones had a large impact on the software industry and therefore required Infoware Services to adapt. But of course the big one is the web enabling of applications.
There are many things Nadine enjoys at her job, but her favourite part of the job is the ability to help clients. “I enjoy finding ways to make their life easier. It makes their day easier and you feel pretty good about the fact that you are helping them. Getting that thanks from a client is always rewarding.” Nadine continued to elaborate by saying “as a programmer you are naturally inclined to be more focused on coding, but really the clients are the core reason we get to share and implement this software, so they are the real focus.”
When asked to comment on the work environment at Infoware Services Nadine said “We are all in this together. We need to cooperate to produce the best service. It’s great because if you get stuck, you know you can walk down the corridor and talk it through with someone”.
On behalf of the team at Infoware Services, we want to thank Nadine for her service. Nadine is an approachable, helpful and hardworking and valued employee. Happy 20 year anniversary, we are so grateful to have you on our team.
