All Infoware Services staff recently completed an annual first aid course. Over the last 25 years, all staff have completed a first aid course each year. Lifelong skills are learnt through this course to apply in real-life situations and plus also apply to the workplace if required. Training covers a wide range of practical and theory sessions covering assessing danger in first aid situations through CPR, to bites from the many land and water-based creatures.
Managing Director Daryl Northfield says ‘this is a small way to contribute to the wider community. You never know when you can encounter a life-threatening situation and having the skills to help is important. Also, the do’s and don’ts for emergencies such as snake bites are continually changing. Similar knowing statistics such as the chances of dying from snake bite are about the same as dying from a tree falling on you helps keep things in perspective now and in the future”.
