29th August 2014 marked Nola Jones’ retirement as Warehouse Manager from Doboy Cold Stores
Initially employed as a warehouse clerk, Nola has risen up the ladder as Warehouse Supervisor then to Systems and Customer Service Manager. For almost 2 decades Nola helped to improve business operations by introducing RF scanning and location management.
At Nola’s farewell David O’Brien, Doboy Cold Stores CEO congratulated Nola on 19 years of exemplary service to Doboy. “Especially in a male dominated industry, Nola became the first woman to manage a cold store in Australia, a role she has continued til today. She has been a forerunner for women working in logistics management both in Doboys and the wider industry”.
“Nola will be missed by all the staff at Doboys and our customers”.
Nola intends to spend the beginning of her retirement catching up with family and some well-earned R & R.
